A big-band experiment in odd meters, cut live with the orchestra's stacked bass and reed sections pushing 3 2/3/4 time into swinging, unlikely territory. Ellis's mid-'60s Pacific Jazz work at its most rhythmically restless, with a young Tom Scott among the horns.
