The record
Live in Stockholm, Powell leans on Swedish bassist Torbjörn Hultcrantz and drummer Sune Spångberg rather than the American rhythm players of his prime. The touch is more fragile here, but the harmonic invention that reshaped jazz piano still cuts through.
