The record

A tight quartet date with McCoy Tyner's percussive chords pushing against Turrentine's soul-soaked tenor, Cranshaw and Roker keeping things loose and swinging underneath -- unreleased at the time, it's Blue Note's mid-'60s house sound in its most relaxed, blues-drenched form.
