The record
A West Coast rhythm section built for swing, with Vinnegar's walking lines and Levey's brushwork giving Getz plenty of room to spin those long, unhurried phrases. Cut for Verve in the late-'50s stretch that found him at his most fluent, this is tenor balladry and mid-tempo cool at its most conversational.

The earliest copy we list is a 1959 US Verve mono, MG V-8294. Our data holds two 1959 entries under that number, one noted as the long-play version, so read the label before buying. Britain had it on His Master's Voice that year as CLP 1276, and Japan followed in 1960 with VL 1013. Verve's 2025 club edition puts MG V-8294 back as a numbered 180g mono.
