The record
Borrowing two-thirds of Coltrane's rhythm section for a single session, Rollins stretches the title track past twenty minutes of open, searching improvisation, Hubbard's trumpet threading through the freer terrain. A late-'60s pivot point, catching the tenor giant testing the avant-garde currents reshaping jazz around him.

The earliest we list is the 1967 US Impulse! AS-9121, stereo, gatefold, RVG stamped, and the mono A-9121 sits beside it the same year, also RVG stamped and gatefold -- both are on the table. The 1967 UK His Master's Voice issues, CLP 3610 mono and CSD 3610 stereo, come in laminated sleeves. For a modern copy, Speakers Corner reissued AS-9121 in 2007; Impulse! did a 200-gram IMP-161 in 1995.
