The record
Recorded at a club date and shelved for years before Blue Note issued it, this sextet session finds the organ trio format swollen to full boil. Benson's guitar cuts clean through the horns' thick groove, unpolished and loud with room noise.
Session personnel
- Ronnie Cuber — baritone saxophone
- Gary Jones — congas
- Joe Dukes — drums
- George Benson — guitar
- Lonnie Smith — organ
- Dave Hubbard — tenor saxophone
