The record

Two rhythm sections rotate under Konitz's alto across brooding, thickly voiced sides, the title cut a slow elegy written for Charlie Parker. Tristano's overdubbed solo passages turn inward, more severe and private than his usual fare.

  • Peter Ind — bass
  • Art Taylor — drums
  • Jeff Morton — drums
  • Lennie Tristano — piano
