The record
Two bassists, two drummers, two pianists -- an oddly doubled lineup shelved for years before Blue Note finally released it. Shorter's tenor and Hutcherson's vibes thread through the crowded frontline, giving Morgan room to stretch without abandoning the blues at its core.

No 1960s pressing is on file for this title. The earliest we hold is a 1978 US Blue Note gatefold double, BN-LA582-J2, carrying an RVG stamp, with a test pressing of the same issue also listed. A 180-gram reissue followed in 1995 as B1 7243 8 33579 1 8, Music Matters cut it at 45 RPM in 2012 as MMBST-83023, and the 2025 Classic Vinyl edition, 6807008, is the current in-print copy.
