The record
A late-'60s Blue Note date led by the Basie band's own tenor and pen, Foster front-loads brassy, hard-swinging charts for a tight sextet rather than the big band he wrote for daily. Cranshaw and Roker keep it lean and driving, letting Wyands' comping and Stamm's brass punch carry that title's citified urgency.
Session personnel
- Bob Cranshaw — bass
- Mickey Roker — drums
