Released after his death, this session catches Henry's alto still gripping tight to Bird's vocabulary while pushing toward something more jagged and personal. The band works around him with the ease of players who knew the changes cold.

Backed by an expert round-up of jazz men (see sampling on credits), Henry is represented on mostly uptake stints in which he displays a fluent drive, and good invention. Jazz buffs should be showing an interest here.
