The record

Jerome Richardson doubling flute and tenor is what makes this one turn -- his flute set against Eddie 'Lockjaw' Davis's tenor and Shirley Scott's organ, with George Duvivier and Arthur Edgehill under it. The kitchen titles are not a joke: 'The Chef' and 'In The Kitchen' cook hard, and 'But Beautiful' is the breather. Prestige PRLP 7141, 1958, Ira Gitler's notes.
