The record
The Cafe Montmartre house band -- Drew's harmonic ease, NHOP's young virtuosity, Heath's swing -- catches Dexter at full stride during his Danish exile. Black Lion's tape preserves the tenor's broad tone at its most confident.
Session personnel
- Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen — bass
- Albert Heath — drums
- Kenny Drew — piano
- Dexter Gordon — tenor saxophone
