The record
The title tells you the shape: bassist Chubby Jackson heard in both a small group and a full band. The credits carry two drummers, four trumpets and three tenors -- Gerry Mulligan on baritone, J.J. Johnson and Kai Winding on trombones, Zoot Sims and Georgie Auld among the saxophones. Prestige gathered the twelve sides as a compilation in 1969, PR 7641, Don Schlitten producing.
