The record
Gomez and Morell return to Montreux a year on, now a road-tested unit rather than a new pairing, and the set breathes with that familiarity. Creed Taylor's CTI captures a looser, more rhythmically buoyant Evans than the Verve years.

Pressings
Every early copy is CTI 6004 from 1970, so the jacket and the dead wax do all the work. The earliest we list is a US stereo pressing carrying the full set -- deep groove, RVG stamp, laminated gatefold. Other 1970 US copies show the laminated gatefold and RVG stamp without the deep groove, and a Pitman pressing without the stamp. Canada issued CTI 6004 the same year; the 1972 UK CTL 4 is the foreign copy worth a look.
