The record
Caught live in 1954 with young Pete Jolly at the piano, this quartet session finds Kessel's guitar running warm, horn-like phrases over a loose, unhurried rhythm section. Modern Harmonic's reissue captures the room as it was, well before studio polish entered the picture.
