The record
Recorded live in the spring of '65, this second volume finds Byard's quartet stretching out with the loose, conversational swagger that made his working band a favorite among musicians. Farrell doubles between tenor and flute while Dawson's drum-and-vibes versatility keeps the date restless and inventive throughout.
