Cut on the 1958 State Department tour, this session finds Brubeck and Desmond absorbing sounds from Europe and the Middle East into their chamber-scaled quartet writing. A companion to the Jazz Impressions records made on the same trip.

Pressings

The earliest copy we list is the 1963 US Columbia mono, CL 1963, with the stereo CS 8763 alongside it; both turn up from Pitman and Terre Haute. Britain had it that year on CBS, mono BPG 62138 and stereo SBPG 62138, and Japan followed in 1967 with YS-741-C. The Special Products JCS 8763 and the Italian S 62.138 come later. No modern audiophile reissue is on file.
