The record
Cut at the turn of the decade, this quintet finds Manne stretching past his West Coast cool pedigree into looser, electric-tinged terrain with Robinson's Fender Rhodes coloring the frontline of Gross and Barone. A late Contemporary date that shows the drummer still restless for new company after two decades of setting the pace.
