The record
Alpert's imprimatur launched this hybrid of Fender Rhodes shimmer and boy-girl vocals over samba grooves, a template for crossover success built on real Brazilian foundations.

Pressings
Nearly every row here is 1966. In the US that is A&M LP-116 in mono, the earliest on file, and SP-4116 in stereo, with Monarch pressings listed for both. Brazil issued its own edition on Elenco as ME-78, and the UK release came through Pye International as NPL 28089 -- both worth a look if you want something other than the common American copy. Only one audiophile pass appears in our data: Mobile Fidelity's MFSL 1-118 in 1983. Otherwise condition, not catalog number, is what separates copies.
