Trumpet brothers Pete and Conte Candoli trade fours over a West Coast dream rhythm section -- Jimmy Rowles' sly touch, Gary Peacock's young bass, Shelly Manne's brushes -- reworking Rodgers and Hammerstein with easy swing. A 1962 studio date that finds Broadway tunes loosened up and given room to breathe by two of the coast's most simpatico horn players.
