A West Coast family session led by electric bass pioneer Monk Montgomery, with brothers Wes and Buddy alongside him and Harold Land and Pony Poindexter rounding out the horns. A rare glimpse of the Montgomery trio in expanded company, cut for Pacific Jazz at the tail end of the label's hard-bop run.
