The record
Recorded in Japan in 1972 with a crack local rhythm section anchored by Terumasa Hino and Motohiko Hino, this session finds Waldron's brooding, repetitive left-hand vamps stretched into long modal explorations. A deep-catalog document of the pianist's fertile expat years, reissued by BBE for diggers who know his Prestige and Enja work.

- Motohiko Hino — drums
