The record
A West Coast piano trio date from a young Grauer, backed by the sturdy rhythm work of Buddy Clark and Mel Lewis, both fixtures of the era's Los Angeles session scene. Understated, swinging small-group jazz that reflects the era's clean, unfussy trio ideal before Lewis went on to bigger-band fame.
