Recorded the same September day as 'Poly-Currents', this Blue Note date piles on Latin percussion from Candido and Patato Valdes under brother Thad's flugelhorn and Pepper Adams' baritone. Gene Perla's electric and acoustic bass work signals the drummer's ear turning toward fusion's new textures.
