The record
A late-'50s West Coast vocal date backed by a first-call rhythm section -- Rowles's harmonic wit, Vinnegar's walking lines, and Levey's brushwork frame Nelson's singing with easy, after-hours sophistication. A modest Mode Records entry, but the personnel alone make it worth the crate dig.
