A late-'50s bassist-led date with a sharp East Coast lineup -- Phil Woods cutting loose on alto, Eddie Costa's percussive piano, and Sal Salvador's guitar giving the session an unusual harmonic depth. Bagley steps out from his usual sideman role to lead a swinging, hard-driving set built for close listening.
