The record
A late-Mingus large-ensemble outing, stacking three baritones and a crowded reed section into dense, roiling charts that push against the era's fusion currents. With Konitz, Adams, Gomez and Richmond among the crew, it's a sprawling, restless entry from the last chapter of Mingus's Atlantic years.
