The record
Sam Jones and Jimmy Cobb give Timmons plenty of open space here, the trio format arriving just as "Dis Here" made his blues-drenched, church-rooted style the sound of the moment. His phrasing stays funky and unhurried throughout.

Pressings
The earliest on file is the 1960 US Riverside mono, RLP 12-317, with the stereo RLP 1164 listed the same year. UK and French copies from 1961 and 1962 carry laminated sleeves. Riverside repressed both numbers in 1966, so check the label before paying for an early one. OJC-104 from 1984 is the cheap clean route; a Japanese VIJ-118 landed the same year, and Milestone's SMJ-6050 covered 1974.
