Jimmy Giuffre's clarinet, baritone, and tenor meet dry trombone wit here, guitarist Jim Hall threading it all with characteristic understatement. Recorded for Liberty in 1957, it reworks older jazz forms with the droll, conversational spirit that marked this trio's collaborations.
