The record
A crisp early-'50s trio date led by a pianist whose light touch and bebop-schooled phrasing won over the era's jazz clubs, backed here by husband Joe Shulman's warm bass work. RCA Victor's clean studio sound suits the trio's understated swing -- a fine snapshot of piano-trio jazz just before the format's mid-decade boom.
Session personnel
- Joe Shulman — double bass
- Herbie Wasserman — drums
- Barbara Carroll — piano
